We are looking for a Senior Advisor Financial Planning, Analysis and Performance Reporting to complete financial planning and performance management analysis for both IOC's internal and external stakeholders. This includes financial forecasting, budgeting, longer term strategic planning and conducting analysis to assist in assessing management performance.

Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, you will:


  • Coordinate and execute forecasting & budgeting (including supporting analysis & reports) and ensure quality control during the process
    • Short term forecasting (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
    • Annual budgeting
    • Longer term strategic planning
    • Financial Modelling


  • Coordinate the administration and communication of forward looking information including communication and analysis to internal management and external shareholders
  • Understand various accounting policy (USGAAP and IFRS) and ensure accurate reflection in the various planning and reporting tools
  • Coordinate the implementation of IT solutions required for information sharing to stakeholders
  • Coordinate the implementation of IT solutions required to support financial forecast and analysis ( complex models, Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) tool, SAP Analytics. etc)
  • Coordinate calculation of KPI targets for performance management purposes.
  • Complete quality & timely analysis to support performance management, advises on financial affairs and support longer term strategic planning including
    • Variance analysis against historical performance and established targets
    • Report on Revenue/EBITDA Margin Analysis
    • In depth analysis of identified KPIs (trade working capital, cost savings initiatives)
    • Sensitivity and Scenario Analysis.


  • Establish & maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing requested information on a systematic and adhoc basis.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or a related field;
  • CPA designation or equivalent;
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience with financial modelling;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English);
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Business and commercial acumen;
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team;


The following will be considered an asset for the role:
  • Experience in the mining industry;
  • Ability to speak and write in the French language;

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%.
