About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Reporting Architect to define and govern the strategy, roadmap and architecture of the SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA platform. This includes customer engagement, coaching architecture, application architecture governance and assisting with complex embedding challenges.

Reporting to the Manager Analytic Operations and working in an innovative and collaborative environment within the Data Services & Information Platforms team you will:
  • Collaborate with the Business Partner teams and other relevant internal stakeholders on how to execute the IT and Business strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand Rio Tinto businesses, and build their understanding of how data can enable and improve.
  • Provide application architecture, solution knowledge and subject matter expertise to internal and external stake holders including suppliers and partners to shape projects.
  • Translate complex business problems into desired outcomes and break problem down into discrete packages.
  • Maintain knowledge of relationships between platforms, data and consumption in reports and visualisation.
  • Apply discipline governance and quality assurance across projects and promote compliance with standardized processes, systems, and tools.
  • Enable capability uplift through education on available data, metrics, platforms and visualisations.
  • Promote and evolve existing platforms and tools and contribute to industry and community initiatives in Integrated Analytics and other areas.

What you'll bring

  • Substantial experience in SAP BW and BW4/HANA architecture, design and delivery.
  • Experience establishing partnerships with stakeholders at all levels to understand and champion metrics.
  • A customer and solution orientation, with excellent team and customer collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience working collaboratively across cultures and with virtual teams globally.
  • Excellent communication skills particularly with none technical people
