About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Data FIFO Optimisation to effectively manage flight and accommodation forecasting for Iron Ore, whilst identifying business opportunities and improvement to ensure we are maximizing and prioritizing the assets (accommodation rooms) in accordance with business requirements.

Reporting to the Superintendent FIFO Optimisation and working in a challenging and exciting environment within our Demand Forecasting team, key deliverable of this role includes:
  • Management and ownership of flights and accommodation data hub, systems, data visualisation and dashboards
  • Information architecture custodian and SME for future state flight and accommodation systems
  • Process improvement and implementation of key initiatives as identified in EY capability uplift engagement
  • Flight and accommodation constraint management associated with production system shuts, sustaining capital and exploration programs
  • Developing and delivering presentations with flights and accommodation analysis for senior business leaders
  • Training and development of wider Facilities team (and business stakeholders)

What you'll bring

Where you'll be working

In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.

We are one of the world's leading producers and exporters of iron ore.

This role is based at our head office located in Perth Central Park building.
