We are looking for an Executive Assistant based in Brisbane to support the VP HSEC and Managing Director Growth and Development within our Copper division.

This role is a great opportunity for a highly experienced individual to provide secretarial support to two senior leaders. As a key interface to internal and external stakeholders you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, you will be adept at anticipating the needs of these senior leaders and at all times will promote a professional and amiable work style and uphold the values of Rio Tinto.

Specific to this role you will:
  • Provide secretarial/administrative support directly to the executives, exercising confidentiality, tact and Diplomacy.
  • Keep control of tasks with high attention to detail, high sense of accountability and ownership
  • Be responsible for diary management ie: manage inbox and triage emails, developing presentations and reports, agendas and minutes
  • Receive, screen and direct incoming calls, visitors and mail
  • Maintain files, records, calendars and diaries;
  • Arrange and co-ordinate business travel and track expenses
  • Co-ordinate business and team meetings
  • May participate in the implementation of administrative standards, policies and practices for the Organization
  • Manage end to end service requests for stakeholders (e.g. RTTMS tickets, etc.)

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have the following experience and attributes:
  • Demonstrate experience in a similar / same role within a global footprint ie: working across multiple time zones, multiple business units and stakeholders
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite (including MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Be highly organised and have a solid working knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
  • Experience in international operations and virtual working preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be proactive and take initiative have a business improvement mindset
  • Be amiable and adaptable to working styles
