We are looking for someone to join the RTA Environment & Sustainability team. We are an open, connected global team.

Reporting to the Manager Sustainability Projects, you will act as an expert in Data Quality - LCA & ESG Assurance to support Environment & Sustainability - Improvement Project team at RTA with quality assurance, legal compliance... This includes:
  • Planning and coordinating the execution of Life Cycle Analyses (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD);
  • Performing ESG data assurance and ensuring data quality before external publication;
  • Mapping and documenting data sources used for external ESG publication;
  • Recommending areas of improvements for LCA/EPD data input and reporting;
  • Leading improvement projects on data quality and availability;
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Team for Sustainability reporting to customers (eg. START, RenewAl, EPD, LCA etc.);
  • Working with a broad range of stakeholders in the RTA ESG reporting;
  • Sharing best practices between sites;
  • Coaching the site-based personnel so that they understand their role in the ESG reporting;

What you'll bring
  • Background in Environment, science or engineering;
  • Experience with Life Cycle Analyses and Environmental Product Declarations;
  • Proven data quality and analytical skills;
  • Great care about details;
  • Knowledge of MS Office / Teams / SharePoint (Very good Excel skills);
  • An ability to translate data into meaningful questions and insights;
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills;
  • Industry Experience (preferred);
  • Effective time management and personal organisational skills autonomous approach to work;
  • A willingness to learn;
  • Must be fluent in French and English (verbal & written).

Where you'll be working

The RTA Environment & Sustainability Team supports the HSE, Operations and Commercial objectives of Rio Tinto Aluminium.

This role will be based in Canada (Saguenay or Montreal).
