About the role

We are looking for a Shift Mechanic for the Resolution Copper Underground Operations and Maintenance Group, which is responsible for the safe maintenance and operation of the existing physical assets, consisting of a deep shaft, multiple mine levels and associated equipment and infrastructure.

This role is a great opportunity to be involved in the application of effective whole-of-life asset management practices to achieve ongoing safe maintenance and operation of existing physical assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Leader, you will be:
    • Performing maintenance tasks on equipment and plant systems, both underground and surface, on a shift work basis
    • Maintaining the assets within the maintenance management framework and processes
    • Identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance, raising notifications and completing work orders
    • Ensuring work management activities are undertake in line with work orders and job instructions
    • Supporting the defect elimination process and contributing to the work management analysis and asset tactics review

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
    • Two years general mechanical experience
    • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

It will also be beneficial if you have:
    • Two years underground operations and maintenance experience
    • MSHA underground mine rescue qualification
    • Hoist mechanic competency certification
    • Basic welding qualification
    • Experience with multi-stage turbine pumps and submersible pumps
    • Experience with mine ventilation systems
    • Millwright experience
