About the role

We are looking for Information Technology Team Lead to be a dynamic people leader with previous experience in technology infrastructure (Servers, Desktops and Networks) to be a key team member of our Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) leadership team. This person will work closely with the business and a lead a small technical team to provide Information Technology (IT) services and small projects at our Bell Bay Smelter.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who can coordinate and provide mid-level technical mentoring to a small team.

Reporting to the RTA IS&T Pacific Operations Business Partner, and working in a collaborative team within the IS&T Pacific Operations Aluminium team you will:
  • Lead by example to apply safety practices and behavior principles
  • Lead a small team of IT professionals, including development planning and reviews
  • Be the technical escalation point (Level 2) for the site team
  • Coordinate day to day operational IT Support activities, including prioritisation of work and incident management
  • Be accountable for the management and maintenance of key site IT infrastructure
  • Demonstrate professionalism to manage customer needs and support services for the operational management team and staff
