Reporting to the Specialist Emergency Services and working in a collaborative team, you will be:
  • Developing, implementing & maintaining emergency services policies, procedures, plans and protocols;
  • Building and developing stakeholder relationships to ensure integration of appropriate Emergency Services standards;
  • Providing expert Emergency Services advice and guidance to team, site and stakeholder groups;
  • Ensure the Emergency Services Team is compliant with the Poison Permit and applicable legislative standards.

What you will bring
  • Cert III Mines Rescue or Public Safety Fire Fighting Operations
  • Cert IV Emergency Medical Technician
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Experience with managing Emergency Response teams within Mining or similar industries (or ability to rapidly acquire)
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

It would be beneficial if you have or willing to obtain the following:
  • Experience in commutating and influencing across multiple leadership levels
  • Ability to work unsupervised and plan own work

Weipa - Rio Tinto Weipa is located 900km north-west of Cairns on the Gulf of Carpentaria and has been operating for over 50 years.
