About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to deliver business objectives through the implementation and support of physical asset management processes.
This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with technical expertise to make continuous improvements to asset performance and reliability. Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, you will:
- Provide day to day technical support to maintenance teams for a variety of physical assets
- Manage Continuous Improvement process to deliver improvements in safety, production and cost
- Conducting equipment failure analysis using lean tools & problem solving techniques and implementing corrective actions
- Reviewing equipment issues and design specifications and providing recommendations on improvement changes
- Manage site based capital project delivery and interface with central sustaining capital project teams
- Perform root cause analyses and provide inputs to a Defect Elimination team
- Provide logistical and technical support during plant shut downs
- Publish daily KPIs relating to production critical assets or systems
- Validate production loss data
- Participate in Reliability facilitated asset tactics development
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or other relevant related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in engineering maintenance roles
- Experience working in a fixed plant environment as well as HME (Heavy Mobile Equipment)
- An ability to work collaboratively in small teams, and demonstrate adaptability
- Experience in delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects
- Experience in Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause Analysis
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or equivalent CMMS
- Lean Six Sigma methodology experience or Black Belt Certification
