We are looking for an experienced, adaptable and collaborative professional to accelerate our business improvement and transformation agenda across our Purchase to pay systems, processes, and user experience. The selected individual will be a part of the global P2P team and responsible for delivering a step change in user experience at substantially lower cost.

The P2P function is an integral part of procurement lifecycle and Group Services team. P2P team as global process owner has delivery responsibility supporting 250+ sites, 500+ companies and large number of supplier and internal users in managing $20+B payment, 2m+ transactions, 2m+ master data records.

Group Services delivers value by providing efficient and effective finance, accounting, P2P, payroll and employee data services to the Rio Tinto Group. Working with our service providers, we leverage our expertise along with new technologies, systems and tools to implement globally standard and compliant processes that are key enablers in our collective journey to world-class.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced professional in business excellence, and solution design in large scale P2P and shared services domain. The role has global reach, interface with senior leaders across the organization including P2P service delivery, Finance, shared service business improvement, assurance, technology and third party partners.

Reporting line: Leader BI & Transformation

Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below
  • Own transformation of P2P processes and systems with focus on control automation and risk reduction
  • Own process standardization and implement best in class processes with focus on efficiency and end-user experience
  • Own, maintain and update knowledge management system and relevant contents including process maps
  • Own process change control governance, ensure process changes are managed within acceptable framework
  • Work in matrix environment with virtual team of specialists across the globe to drive continuous improvement culture, idea generation and prioritization
  • Drive collaboration across regional P2P and third party partner team to facilitate knowledge and best practice sharing
  • Collaborate with P2P Assurance team and wider governance team to ensure risk and control matrix (RACM) is up to date
  • Collaborate with service desk and end user experience team to support development of end user training material

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A graduate degree; with a business management degree being a plus
  • 12+ years of work experience in P2P domain, with at least last 7 years in business excellence, transformation and business improvement capacity
  • Proven experience in delivery of process standardization, implementing best practices, program management, and change management
  • Detailed Knowledge of P2P Process
  • Experience with ERP Platform (SAP)
  • Implementation experience with Digital Technologies (RPA/ML/AI)
  • Experience in Leading and Delivering large improvement Projects, ideally within Source to Pay, Procurement
  • Ability prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously with limited supervision
  • Experience with process mapping and associated tools
  • Strong exposure to global business environments/ global roles/ senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach, ability to work across organizational lines, as a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
