We are looking for a Senior Advisor Shutdown to be accountable for implementing leading practices for shutdowns and coordinating and reporting on critical path for the annual value chain outage.

Reporting to the Manager Asset Risk, Assurance, Transportation & Logistics and working in a collaborative community within the Kennecott Team you will:

· Create and maintain a singular visual shutdown schedule for the annual shutdown across the value stream outlining critical path that includes capital (CAPEX) and operating (OPEX) scopes of work

· Identify, communicate, and update critical path and near critical path scopes of the annual shutdown throughout execution

· Define time of year for optimizing annual and 3 yearly shutdown leveraging input from all stakeholders

· Own the Asset Management sustaining capital list and process to maintain

· Subject Matter Expert (SME) on shutdown management process

· Shutdown management coach for site shutdown managers

· Ensures adherence to shutdown management process across the value chain

o Audit processes and organizes Current State Assessments

· Benchmarking shutdown processes and replicate/implement best practices

To be effective in this role you will also need to:

· Engage with annual planning process, shutdown planners, managers, and Projects and Engineering to ensure clear alignment across the full value stream

· Collaborate with stakeholders (Technical planning, Operations, Asset Management, Projects, business improvement, Financial & Commercial) to influence, prioritize and support optimal timing of shutdown

· Interface with relevant central teams (Copper Technical and Productivity & Technical Support) to maximize their support for the business and replication of leading practices

What you'll bring

· A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

· Proficiency in Primavera scheduling software

· PMP Project Management Professional Certification

· 7+ years of related experience

· Ability to understand and explain complex, inter-related mining and processing systems

· Skilled in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders from mine and plant personnel to organization leaders

It will also be beneficial if you have:

· Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma processes

· Experience with very large complex polymetallic ore bodies

Where you'll be working

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903, and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
