We are looking for a Technology Support Engineer who will act as the interface between Site-based, Operation Centre based teams and Rio Tinto's wider stakeholder groups to give value to the business by optimising the use of Fleet Management Systems and data interpretation and visualisation for internal and external stakeholders.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focused mindset to provide specialist support and guidance to Rio Tinto around Fleet Management Systems. You will be providing service to a huge stakeholder group and so you will get some great opportunities to work with some influential stakeholders within the business.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mining Systems, you will:
  • Provide SME support and guidance to internal and external teams in regards to end user interaction with Fleet Management systems
  • Provide support and guidance to internal and external teams in regards to production data integrity and availability
  • Provide technical support for Mining System Applications and projects related to the MMC applications
  • Communicate and provide support documentation for system and process chances as a part of the management of change
  • Support project and business improvement programs to ensure business needs are met
  • Identify issues and suggest improvements to current Fleet Management Systems to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to production data management

What you'll bring
  • Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Excellent understanding of Fleet Management (Dispatch), Mining System Applications and Asset Health
  • Understanding of SQL, network technology, server and VM architecture
  • Advanced communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Data Analytic skills with proven ability to analyse and visualise data - PowerBI/ Spotfire

It would also be beneficial if you have:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or network management
  • Mining background and experience
