About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a full-time Application Support Manager to join our corporate headquarters in Toronto, ON, or work remotely within Canada. This role can follow either a fully remote or a hybrid work model, however, the successful candidate must be legally authorized to work within Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, providing business system analysis and support for all Centerra Gold software application services used by departments throughout the company. This role acts as a technical consultant and subject matter expert throughout the lifecycle of all assigned applications. They will coordinate end-user client relationships while responding to both critical and routine application support requests, and interfacing with software vendors and consultants for assessment, deployment, integration, and support.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining Application Service Catalogue & CMDB
  • Coordinating Track Licensing consumption & usage
  • Managing licensing assignments, l icensing tools, and systems
  • Maintaining vendor contracts, support, and escalation
  • Being responsible for user experience, performance, availability, and growth
  • Tracking and provisioning data storage, protection, and growth
  • Managing Business Continuity Planning for applications
  • Delivering cost optimization - Platform, Client, Licensing, and Utilization
  • Conducting client deployment, configuration, and updates to Centerra standards
  • Working with Cybersecurity on secure platforms and compliance
  • Overseeing integration of data and systems and s upporting our business strategy of Cloud First
  • Interfacing directly with software vendors and consultants for development and support
  • Consulting directly with users to assess their needs, creating and implementing a strategy to improve the business or application
  • Creating knowledge base documentation and training materials for End User Support (EUS)
  • Creating technical documentation for internal department consumption
  • As needed, serving as a leader and/or member of project teams
  • Supporting and mentoring internal analyst positions

About You

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience, along with experience leading and/or working on project teams. A minimum of 5 years of prior business application technical support experience is preferred.

In addition, the following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
  • Proven experience supporting mission-critical IT applications
  • Knowledge in the following areas is required:
    • Software as a Service
    • Windows desktop and server operating system
    • SQL and programming languages
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e. sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
