About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a full-time Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role can follow either in-office, fully remote, or a hybrid work model, ideally in a geographic region where Centerra Gold has a presence:
  • Vancouver, BC

  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Tonopah, NV


A key member of Centerra Gold's Shared Services group, the Supply Chain Manager will provide leadership and implement industry standard best practices in all aspects of sourcing, purchasing, and contract administration. You will also ensure the compliance of internal controls and governance, including adherence to Centerra's Procurement Policy and established commercial procedures

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing knowledge and leadership to the Shared Services group and project team(s) during project delivery phases (e.g. project setup, risk mitigation, procurement of major subcontracts, claim negotiation, dispute resolution, contract management practices, etc.)
  • Leading in the formulation, negotiation, review, and execution of agreements, contracts, change orders, and other contract documentation
  • Managing the request for quote and proposal process in collaboration with the Shared Services supply chain group
  • Managing compliance with contractual obligations and proactively identifying potential contract changes, deviations, or claims
  • Managing the negotiation and execution of major contracts in compliance with the Company's policies and procedures
  • Building capabilities within the commercial group to manage existing customer requirements and facilitate future growth
  • Overseeing the post-contract performance of the vendor to ensure they are managing the risks and delivering the budgeted returns
  • Conducting activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards and Centerra's policies and procedures
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal customers and external vendors


About You

To qualify, you will need at least 10 years of experience with the formulation, negotiation, and administration of complex contractual relationships. We also require a degree in business, law, finance, or related studies.

The following proficient background or experience will be critical to successfully performing this role:
  • Standards and practices of the Mining industry (Canada and US), including Nevada state and US national contract laws
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Development and control of large budgets and expenditures
  • Supply chain process improvements and best practices
