Project Superintendent
Location: McLeod, MT - US PGM Operations
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
This position reports to the General Manager - East Boulder Operation. The Project Superintendent will have primary responsibility to plan and execute capital projects primarily related to surface infrastructure including TSF, waste rock storage area, and fixed plant construction. The project superintendent will coordinate planned scopes of work through the design, planning, contractor selection, and execution of the work. Effective support in these areas will assist in executing projects safely, on time and within budget.
The primary responsibility of the role is leading project execution efforts through effective contractor management in compliance with safety, environmental, and project controls standards.
The candidate must possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders on multiple projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
§ Commitment to the Safety and Health of everyone working on our properties
§ Leadership qualities including: character, teamwork, communication, business sense and vision
§ Thorough understanding of MSHA regulations and safety risk management
§ Experience in project execution leading contractor work efforts
§ Proven ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team based environment.
§ Familiarity with cost planning, tracking, reporting, and analysis related to different construction contracting strategies.
§ Oversee Project Change Management process
Preferred:
§ Ability to interpret construction specifications, drawings and other engineering deliverables
§ Knowledge of JD Edwards or equivalent
§ Working knowledge of scheduling software such as MS Project, P6.
§ Ability to analyze and troubleshoot multiple data streams in a spreadsheet based environment.
Education & Experience:
§ BS in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent demonstrated work experience
§ 10+ years' experience in project field - including project management experience on TSF's
