Training Supervisor
Location: East Boulder Mine McLeod, MT
POSITION SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will provide leadership for the development and implementation of sustainable training programs focused on improving the safety and operational work practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: oversee the development of accurate, concise, and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for key tasks; identify deficits in training and skills, prioritize needs, schedule appropriate training modules, and, follow-up to monitor results; and document completion and manage task training files. The Training Coordinator will schedule, coordinate, oversee, and, on occasion, conduct Safety training in order to maintain regulatory compliance and company standard requirements.
This position will have direct supervision over hourly trainees and requires routine communication, collaboration, and interaction with supervision and management. The Training Coordinator will develop and maintain accurate records and will provide reports as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma and 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Leadership qualities, including vision, teamwork, business sense, communication and character.
- Ability to interact in a training atmosphere in a group or individual setting.
- Understanding of, and ability to develop, Standard Operating Procedures.
- Working knowledge of the Company's health and safety standards and procedures.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills working within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of employees, from hourly to management level personnel.
- Demonstrated organizational and management skills.
- Able to collect, organize, analyze and present data.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office software products with a strong ability to develop training aids using PowerPoint.
- Underground mining experience.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Engineering, or a combination of education and experience.
- Safety training, compliance, or experience at an industrial site.
- Training systems development experience.
- MSHA Trainer Certification
- Aptitude for innovation and technology.
