About the role

We are looking for an enterprising, enthusiastic Process Engineer to join our team. This role will provide process engineering to the operations function and is responsible for analyzing and improving the metallurgical performance of the plant and identifying and implementing improvement projects. The role also acts as the custodian of production data which is used for reporting, forecasting and budgeting purposes and is fundamental in business decision making.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse plant and production unit performance using process engineering and metallurgical principles, in house database tools and statistical analysis. Develop and implement recommendations to address variations
  • Identify, initiate, and implement process improvements. Lead and co-ordinate the required changes including engagement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to the operations team
  • Conduct analysis to support production forecasting and budgeting
  • Develop business cases for improvements that require capital expenditure

About you

You'll be a great fit if you have:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a mining or processing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process or Metallurgical engineering
  • Advanced excel and data analysis skills
  • Proactive, hardworking and can-do approach
