This role is a 4/3 Roster, FIFO Darwin or Cairns or can be offered as residential on a full-time ongoing basis. Flexible work arrangements open for discussion

About the role
As a Principal Portfolio Engineer you will be responsible for aligning and prioritizing the pipeline of capital opportunities to the business priorities to optimize value and reduce the risk profile of the operation.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with Operations at all levels to develop capital projects and strategies to build the capital portfolio
- Validate capital opportunity submissions including inputs and strategic alignment to business priorities
- Prioritises the portfolio of projects to deliver the best result for the business
- Align the capital portfolio with the budget
- Support Project Controller and Project Engineers to ensure successful project delivery
About you
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels, particular Superintendents and Managers
- Excellent business acumen, planning capability and stakeholder management
- Competent in data analysis and business case development according to key business value drivers
- Ability to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Microsoft Office suite experience - Including strong knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Capital Portfolio System (CPS) (not mandatory)
- Looking for candidate with step-up capability into Superintendent PMO position.
