The purpose of this role is to lead a Maintenance crew within an operation area or in a specialized discipline over the entire operation and ensure maintenance activities are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards. This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.
Location
Boddington This role is based at the Boddington Bauxite Mine located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).
Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night.
Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities are to:
• Lead a maintenance execution team and promote operating discipline related to the SAP work management processes
• Review the plan for the next day and commit to the next day's work, rescheduling what will not be achieved
• Handover to the next team and set the team up for success by handing over area and rescheduled plan with integrity
• Ensure timely updates of resource work centre capacity data to enable effective scheduling.
• Address any safety concerns that may arise on shift and ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards.
• Ensure that critical controls are effective
• Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices
Leadership
• Provide day-to-day leadership, expertise and direction to a Maintenance Execution team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans
• Assign work to team members and gives direction by setting performance, quality and time expectations
• Verify team members adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work.
• Spend appropriate time in field to supervise the execution of the production plan in order to achieve established performance targets at a shift or crew level.
• Collaborate with peers to achieve common goals for the refinery
About You
• 3 or more years of experience in direct refinery process operations
• Relevant trade qualification
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
• knowledge of procedures related to the operation.
• Intermediate proficiency in computer applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience in a processing environment as a maintenance leader
• Ability to follow safety and operating procedures, handle unit emergencies and communicate appropriately
