Trainer Mining - South32, Mamatwan Mine

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• The purpose of the role is to provide theoretical and practical training and assessments, as well as follow up training and coaching in the Mining field to meet organizational objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Blasting certificate with ODETDP level 4 as a minimum and 2 years' experience in training essential;
• A Mining related qualification will be advantageous;
• MQA assessor registration is essential;
• Computer literacy in MS Suite is essential.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Plan and facilitate classroom training;
• Conduct on-the-job coaching of operators and supervisors;
• Conduct relevant assessments and declare competency;
• Conduct moderation of assessments;
• Conduct planned task observations and training verifications;
• Review and develop/update relevant learning materials;
• Advise line managers and employees regarding training related matters;
• Implement and manage individual projects;
• Advise and provide guidance to line regarding Training legislation;
• Coach and advise line on integrated HRD aspects.
