The Opportunity - Electrical Engineer -Permanent position - 9-day fortnight work pattern
The purpose of this role is to is to drive improvements in Electrical reliability, data integrity and manage asset lifecycle. This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.
Location
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour's drive of Collie.
Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities are to:
• Build and develop effective equipment maintenance tactics and associated documentation based on failure analysis.
• Set strategic direction to manage electrical asset lifecycle.
• Continuous reduction in maintenance spend.
• Develop and approve scopes for maintenance projects related to area or assigned assets.
• Assist in development of asset reliability performance metrics using delay accounting and breakdowns.
• Complete RCAs or 5 WHYs based on weekly downtime of operational areas.
• Maintain disciplined approach to Asset Management and change control process.
• Lead projects to improve MTTR and MTBF on electrical assets.
• Assist in development maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies.
About You
• Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Graduate Certificate in Asset/Maintenance Management (preferred)
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation design
• Demonstrated experience in operational Alumina refinery, gas production, transmission, petrochemical or other relevant heavy industry
• Sound practical knowledge of the requirements of Australian and international standards in the fields of electrical and instrumentation engineering for gas transmission systems
