The location of this role is the Hermosa Project site near Patagonia, Arizona

The Role

The Senior Maintenance Planner position is responsible for developing and communicating the plans and schedules for all equipment within the operation area in accordance with the Maintenance Connection/SAP Work Management processes. Ensures quality business practices and standards are followed to achieve all set targets and business goals. This position will take accountability for leading the future team of maintenance planners. ** Hermosa is currently in project status. Upon conversion to full mining status, this position will lead the transition from Maintenance Connection to SAP following all corporate defined standards and nomenclature.

Accountabilities ( Include but are not limited to) :

Individual Accountabilities:
  • Development of equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operation.
  • Takes full accountability as the single point of contact for work management Master Data and its content quality. This includes all associated equipment maintenance strategies and master data change requests.
  • Develops and deploys maintenance strategies to meet the requirements of Safety Critical Equipment and ensure adherence to these statutory plans in Maintenance Connection/SAP software.
  • Ensures development and validation of the maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies.
  • Creates and plans work orders as per defined scope that enables effective deployment of work management resources, but not limited to personnel, service providers and materials.
  • Requests and governs the creation and change of Master Data, based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors, including Master Data related to modifications and small projects
  • Ensures that sufficient time is spent observing, coaching, setting standards, and providing feedback to front line employees and contractors to ensure consistency and quality control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Skills, and Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or a minimum of eight to ten years' experience in related field, such as maintenance planning, budgeting/forecasting, or maintenance reliability.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a similar working environment.
  • Prior experience with Maintenance Connection and SAP software required.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office products - Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Ability to supervise and direct others consistently and professionally.
  • Thorough knowledge of mine safety practices and demonstrated ability to maintain safety awareness and visible safety leadership
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High Standards of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure, set priorities and work within diverse work cultures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
