GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUMMARY

The Master Data Governance Analyst is a key member of the Supply Chain Team within the Shared Services Organization. This role will work in close collaboration with the Warehouse, Procurement, Finance, and I&T teams to provide master data governance services for Materials and Business Partners in the new SAP system to all Centerra's North American sites and offices. This role will participate in the user acceptance testing cycle of the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implementation, assist with the transition to steady state, definition of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and then assume a sustainment role to provide on-going services and serve as the business SME in North America for SAP MDG.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
  • This role reports directly to the Director, Supply Chain
  • There are no direct reports to this role


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Supply Chain and Finance Teams with the testing of the SAP MDG Tool.
  • Support and assist with training content development, training delivery to meet specifications of the project.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the business to define and agreed on SLAs for the creation and maintenance of Materials and Business Partners master data records in SAP.
  • Act as a global SME for the processes in SAP MDG.
  • Manage daily requests for new Materials and Business Partners data creation or maintenance and ensure requests are resolved as per the agreed upon SLAs.
  • Actively work with cross functional business units to ensure data taxonomy/naming convention standards are followed and assist with inquiries.
  • Perform mass maintenance to cleanse data in the material master.
  • Work with I&T and SAP functional experts to review findings of new enhancement requirements.
  • Effectively communicate status update, risk, and issues to management team.
  • Provide user training for new functionality as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and results with primary business stakeholders.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Familiarity with master data governance and services organizations processes and procedures.
  • Project management skills including organization, prioritization, and time management; ability to juggle short-term and longer-term initiatives; ability to re-prioritize accordingly to meet immediate needs.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Material and Vendor Master Data Management.
  • Passion for technology and implementing technology for process improvement.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in different time zones.
  • Ability to identify improvements opportunities through processes analysis and action them trough continuous improvement project/initiatives.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.


EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Technical, or a related field.
  • +1 year experience with SAP MDG or similar master data governance system.
  • +1 year of experience working in Shared Services/Support roles.
  • Experience in the mining, oil and gas or other asset intensive industry preferred but not required.
  • Experience defining and monitoring SLAs.
  • Experience mapping out business requirements and capturing them in a functional specification.
  • Experience in data analysis and drawing conclusions based on data, including a demonstrated ability to present recommendations and to assist in decision making.
