The Opportunity

We are currently seeking Supervisor, Demand Planning on a 12-month contract to join our Contractor Performance Management Area in Sudbury.

The Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to a team of contract and control specialists who will oversee and manage activities within the Contract Management lifecycle. These activities may include writing scopes of work, developing contract strategy, demand planning and market analysis, developing commercial strategy, contract administration and vendor performance management (including KPI development and measurement).

As a representative of the North Atlantic Contractor Performance Management Area, the incumbent will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the team as well as providing guidance to key stakeholders within the business. The incumbent will also be expected to collaborate with and provide leadership to other functional areas within the organization including the Operations, Procurement, HSE, Finance, Engineering, Legal, etc. in matters relating to contractor performance management. Acting as an internal subject matter expert, the role also has governance and oversight responsibility.

Although previous experience in mining or an industrial setting is considered an asset, we also appreciate that diversity of thought comes from our differences – and that’s what makes us great!

Education & Experience:

· Education and/or equivalent experience in contracts management including:

o Must possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of entire contract management / administration / procurement cycles. This includes writing scopes of work, issuing field work instructions/orders to suppliers, administering or resolving contract management claims and conducting audits relating to Safety, Schedule, Scope, Quality or Cost.

o Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and Project; advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Working knowledge of SAP is required. Knowledge of other ERP systems and PowerBI is an asset.

Requirements & Accountabilities:

· Works with the Superintendents and team to establish and achieve goals and objectives for the development of a Contractor Performance Management processes and procedures for the North Atlantic Operations.

· Manages a team of Contract Specialists and Control Specialists to provide demand planning, scope development and contract management support to the operations.

· Works with stakeholders to understand and measure the total cost of ownership during strategy and scope development as well as throughout the technical evaluation of RFPs to ensure best value for the organization.

· Works collaboratively with procurement to develop and prioritize the North Atlantic demand plan for continuous contracts.

· Ensures compliance of all contract and procurement-related matters in-line with corporate policies, legal and regulatory requirements, insurance, finance, tax, and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.

· Provides standard templates and ensures excellence in the development of scopes of work for RFPs, that meets the needs of the organization while recognizing local market conditions.

· Ensures vendors and operations execute work in a manner that meets the terms of the contract regarding safety, productivity, schedule, quality and deliverables.

· Brings together cross functional areas and manages the interface between Contractor Performance Management Area, Procurement and Operations.
