Job Description

Position Summary

Project manager delivers business strategy through projects while providing project stakeholders with an enjoyable project experience. Plans, monitors, and leads internal projects from initiation through completion. Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. Leads projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. Typical projects are primarily predictive/waterfall in nature, and include but are not limited to digital transformations, office building construction, facility modifications, civil construction, temporary production enhancements and business process projects.

Supervisor Responsibilities

This position will not have direct supervisory responsibilities over other employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all project resources to produce optimal project outcomes.
  • Define projects, establish expected costs and benefits, and create delivery schedule.
  • Produce project reports and presentations that detail project status and communicate updates to project stakeholders.
  • Lead project team efforts to plan the project. Define and manage scope, define project roles and responsibilities, develop milestone maps, develop project roadmaps, prioritize, and deliver on project goals.
  • Coordinate engineering support and ensure all technical deliverables are timely and complete.
  • Ensure identification and coordination of dependencies among interrelated efforts.
  • Manage project vendors and contractors and hold them accountable for delivery of contractual commitments.
  • Monitor and manage project budget and schedule. Advise management of project status and any significant trends and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, rules, laws, and government regulation with Project Scope.
  • Champion safety, health, and environmental Company standards.
  • Ensure project meets required quality standards.
  • Negotiate internal business and IT resources for project allocation.
  • Facilitates problem-solving and decision-making meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of view.
  • Manage multiple projects for multiple departments and regions throughout the company.
  • Identify and manage project issues and risks.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • 3 - 5+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly analytical and experienced with project coordination, using their problem-solving skills to foresee obstacles and make strategic decisions.
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Licenses, Registration, and Certifications

  • Certification in project management methodologies such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.


  • Firm understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques and experience applying these.
  • Problem solving, data-driven decision making, critical thinking, creative thinking, systems thinking.
  • Extremely organized, disciplined, and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Committed to continuous self-development in the field of project management.
  • Ability to coach and inspire team members to give their best effort and set the direction for initiatives.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills (makes complex issues accessible to the business audience, clear, concise, and audience-appropriate).
  • Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient with the use of computer and software applications including Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience in process mapping.
  • Ability to manage resources both directly and via matrix management.
  • Ability to manage large project teams.

Typical Physical Demands

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires constant data input for extended periods of time without leaving the work area. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.

Typical Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work. May include up to 25% travel.

  • This position is expected to pay $85,000 - $100,500 annually; depending on skills, experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
