Position Summary

Support competitive market analysis and development of new business pursuits and market strategies in a highly collaborative manner. Work strategically across organizational boundaries to maximize the breadth and depth of products.

Supervisor Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect data on market conditions, competitors and consumers.
  • Create presentations to optimally communicate campaign strategies to all levels of the organization including Executives.
  • Compose and/or edit proposals and other technical customer marketing material.
  • Convert findings and complex data into tables, written reports, graphs and pitch decks.
  • Identify and define the objective of an assigned marketing research project; determine the best methods to use to meet those objectives.
  • Establish and create processes for researching, analyzing and developing various business models to include associated cost analysis.
  • Drafts questionnaires, polls, surveys, and other data collection resources.
  • Research companies in various markets and prepare reports and presentations for day-to-day decision making and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Identifies potential new products or markets through research.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Typical Physical Demands

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires constant data input for extended periods of time without leaving the work area. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility sufficient to travel.

Typical Working Conditions

Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Research, Statistics, Math, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Some related experience preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Advanced knowledge of business development and sales strategies.
  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Proven ability to increase competitiveness and market share.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relations.
  • Competency in researching sales leads, presenting proposals, and negotiating deals.
  • Ability to advise on strategic industry partnerships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
