About us
3. Geological Chasms and Crevasses
The terrain regularly breaks snowrider away into bottomless mountain chasms that span the width of the run.
- Optimal Jump Point: Leaping prematurely causes your sled to drop short of the opposite ledge; leaping too late sends your runners falling over the rim before the jump command registers.
- Timing the Lip: Trigger your jump input the exact moment your sled's nose crosses the snow ridge. Avoid jumping off downhill declines whenever possible, as this extends airtime to dangerous lengths.
4. Kinetic Hazards: Giant Rolling Snowballs
Starting around the 300-meter mark, massive snowballs begin tumbling down the slope, tracking dynamic downward vectors across the fairway.
- The Non-Jump Rule: Never attempt to bunny-hop over a rolling snowball. Its vertical collision box extends far beyond your maximum jump height.
- Tracking Trajectory: Watch the lateral angle of the rolling sphere. Maintain steady lateral micro-taps and guide your sled to cut cleanly behind the ball’s wake once it crosses your lane.
