Responsibilities
Role Overview
An opportunity exists for a Safety and Training Administrator to join the team at Appin Mine on a maternity leave contract up to 12 months. This role is responsible for supporting site safety and training functions through the administration of compliance systems, training records, and workforce competency requirements.
Working closely with operational leaders and the site Safety and Training team, you will play a key role in ensuring employees remain compliant and site records are maintained to a high standard.

This role is responsible for supporting site safety and training functions through the administration of compliance systems, training records, and workforce competency requirements.
Working closely with operational leaders and the site Safety and Training team, you will play a key role in ensuring employees remain compliant and site records are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain training matrices, competency records, and compliance databases
- Coordinate training bookings, inductions, VOCs, and refresher training
- Monitor employee compliance and notify departments of upcoming training requirements
- Assist with onboarding and mobilisation processes
- Maintain accurate site personnel and contractor records
- Support safety audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
- Prepare reports and compliance documentation for site leadership
- Assist with incident reporting and corrective action tracking
- Ensure documentation is maintained in line with company and legislative requirements
- Provide administrative support to the Safety and Training team
Qualifications
Requirements
- Previous administration experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry
- Experience with training, safety, or compliance systems highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Experience using learning management systems or training databases desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Current driver's licence
