- Apply established calculation and design methods
- Receive theoretical and practical training on the various work phases in line with your own knowledge from formal courses
- Help prepare reports, specifications, estimates and tenders
- Assist engineers, designers and technicians with tasks requiring accuracy in calculations and data collection

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements
- Undergraduate degree in mining or geological engineering from a recognized university
- Eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada
- One to two years of relevant experience in mining
- Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik, Datamine, MineSched, Vulcan or Minesight
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Asset: budgeting, estimating and scheduling experience with financial modelling skills
- Asset: experience in mine equipment selection
- Asset: capital cost and operating cost estimates
- Asset: mining and operations experience
- Travel to domestic and occasionally international destinations is required (at least 30% of the time)
