The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Supporting the Indigenous Relations team in translating Agnico Eagle's Reconciliation Action Plan into practical, operational initiatives. The intern will participate in research, stakeholder engagement support, communications development, and documentation of best practices in mining industry reconciliation. Key activities include: assisting with Indigenous Advisory Committee coordination, researching reconciliation frameworks and case studies, supporting community engagement and cultural events planning, developing internal communications and educational materials, contributing to policy implementation tracking, and participating in relationship-building activities with Indigenous communities and stakeholders. This position offers meaningful exposure to the intersection of resource development, Indigenous rights, and corporate reconciliation efforts.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of a college diploma program, 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate program
- Demonstrated interest in Indigenous rights, reconciliation, and/or community relations
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work respectfully with diverse communities
- Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and working within ethical frameworks
- Willingness to learn and adapt
CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS:
- Four (4) month internship with the possibility of extension;
- 5/2 schedule; Monday to Friday
- Location of work: Toronto or Kirkland Lake Ontario
- Hybrid/remote work arrangement available
- Travel allowance as per company policy
- Competitive salary offered based on level of education.
