Responsibilities
- Conducting nursing care at North Mara Mine Clinic
- Conduct daily patient triage and ensure smooth attendance at the clinic.
- Administering medicines, injections and vaccinations as prescribed by the doctor.
- Assisting in conducting investigations i.e., audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening during medical check-ups.
- Conducting routine inspections of clinic/ ambulance equipment.
- Maintaining employees' medical records.
- Conducting the return-to-work program following work-related injuries or a period of prolonged ill-health.
- Assessing the work environment for potential health and safety hazard.
- Delivering a range of health and safety related training programs including Site Induction.
- Participating in meetings, and health promotion activities; and delivery of awareness sessions.
- Implementing health initiatives/programs e.g., PHE scheme, First Aid, HIV/AIDS Workplace program, Malaria etc.
- Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with Public Health and Occupational Health and Safety
Qualification requirements
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution,
- 2-3 years, working in a Mining Industry will be an added advantage
