Job Description

*Join the Team as we expand onto the Ernest Henry BERT Project*

Redpath Australia has been selected as the preferred mining contractor for the Ernest Henry BERT Project in Cloncurry. We are seeking experienced Shift Supervisors to join our development team and help deliver one of Australia's most significant underground mining developments.

About the Role
As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee underground development activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to plan. You will provide frontline leadership to crews while driving safety, productivity and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise underground development crews
  • Coordinate daily mining activities to achieve production targets
  • Ensure compliance with site safety systems and statutory requirements
  • Conduct pre-start meetings, inspections and workplace audits
  • Monitor crew performance and provide mentoring and guidance
  • Liaise with Mine Engineers, Technical Services and Operations teams
  • Investigate and report incidents, hazards and improvement opportunities
  • Promote a strong safety culture and high-performance work environment
  • Ensure development activities are completed to quality and operational standards


Qualifications

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive underground mining experience in a development environment
  • Previous supervisory, Shift Boss or leading hand experience (Shift Boss Ticket essential)
  • Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Sound understanding of underground mining regulations and procedures
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Relevant mining competencies, statutory qualifications and licences
  • Current Australian work rights
  • Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
