The Mine Supervisor is part of the Mining Operations supervisory team. He/she supervises the development, production and construction teams. Mainly, he/she is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating day-to-day mining activities. Essential Duties
- Respect, know and promote the company's regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety.
- Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the daily activities of miners.
- Coordinate and supervise the execution of work to achieve budgetary objectives.
- Ensure compliance with work procedures to minimize risks and control department costs.
- Solve mining-related problems and recommend measures to improve department productivity.
- Manage personnel, evaluate performance and oversee employee development.
- Estimate the human and material resources required to carry out work, and ensure their efficient use.
- Maintain various reports and lists, and report daily on the status of ongoing activities.
- Apply the supervision formula using the work card and the golden rules manual.
- All tasks related to the performance of duties
Training & Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in underground mining, including a minimum of two (2) years as a supervisor or relevant experience
- Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7
- Valid general explosives permit
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office suite
- Bilingualism an asset

Working Conditions
- Eleonore mine site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
- Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off
