Job Description
We are seeking experienced electricians for Electrical Leading Hands and Underground Shift Electrician positions across our WA - Norseman operations.
As a Leading Hand Electrician, you'll support underground mining operations by coordinating day-to-day electrical activities, guiding the crew, and helping deliver safe, efficient and well-organised maintenance and project work across site.
As an Underground Electrician, you'll help keep the team running smoothly by maintaining safe and reliable electrical systems, assisting with routine inspections and fault checks, supporting apprentices and trade assistants, and ensuring clear communication through simple shift updates.

Responsibilities
- ensure the safe, efficient and quality completion of all tasks as assigned by the Supervisor;
- achieve safe, timely and cost effective electrical installations and maintenance for the project;
- conduct regular workplace inspections, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance
with safety, efficiency, quality and statutory standards; - provide electrical trades labour;
- supervise and provide guidance for tradesperson, trades assistants and apprentices;
- prepare shifts reports detailing work performed;
- ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all
statutory rules; - strictly adhere and ensure compliance with all relevant site based procedures and advice
required by both the Client and Redpath; - attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and
shift change meetings when required; - complete all pre-start checks prior to use of equipment;
Qualifications
- extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining
environment; - current Western Australian Electrical Licence;
- current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate;
- current First Aid and CPR Certificates;
- current working at heights quaifications;
- experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment;
- experience in high voltage work;
- strong fault finding & diagnostic skills;
- strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks;
- the ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;
- good verbal and written communication skills;
