About the Role

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Estimator or equivalent in hydraulic repair, refurbishment, heavy engineering, or mining equipment sectors
- Strong background in hydraulics-based systems and component repair
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and create technical engineering drawings
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM or similar design software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Monday.com, and Go-Forms
- Demonstrated experience in supplier engagement, procurement, and cost negotiation
- Solid understanding of fabrication processes, machining, and materials
- Excellent communication skills for coordination across technical and operational teams
- High self-motivation with the ability to work independently
- High level of technical accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control mindset
- Strong problem-solving capability in ambiguous or complex repair scopes
- Effective time management and workload prioritization skills
- Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for the repair and refurbishment of heavy mining equipment
- Estimate hydraulic cylinders, axle components, pumps, wheel hubs, and general fabrication works
- Interpret complex technical drawings and specifications to define scope of work
- Produce technical drawings using CAD/CAM or similar engineering software when required
- Engage suppliers to source materials, obtain pricing, and confirm availability
- Source steel, raw materials, hydraulic components, consumables, and replacement parts
- Compile detailed job costings, including labour, materials, machining, and subcontract services
- Collaborate with workshop personnel and technical staff to clarify scope and resolve uncertainties
- Communicate across teams to capture all technical and commercial aspects of each job
- Manage multiple estimates concurrently while meeting required deadlines
