What You Will Do A hands-on learning experience for individuals who have completed a classroom-based HVAC or related training program. This position combines limited classroom instruction focused on Company policies, procedures, and safety standards with structured on-the-job training to build foundational HVAC skills while supporting experienced technicians to maintain reliable and efficient HVAC systems.
- Performs basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting activities under supervision, including observing system operation and identifying abnormal conditions.
- Assists HVAC Technicians with the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and testing of industrial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Attend required classroom training sessions as necessary.
- Perform work area and equipment safety inspections.
- Perform other duties as required.
What You Bring To Freeport
- Completion of HVAC Level 1 Certificate (or equivalent technical training).
- Basic working knowledge of HVAC fundamentals, including safety standards, basic refrigeration concepts, airflow principles, and mechanical systems.
- EPA608 Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in residential or commercial HVAC maintenance and installation.
- Maintenance experience (ie filter changing, coil cleaning, assisting journeymen)
