Recruitment Coordinator Contract

Who We Are:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for supporting the end-to-end recruitment process. This contract position will play a key role in meeting workforce requirements while maintaining a high standard of candidate experience. This position is based in our Thunder Bay office, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate personal needs.
Job Description:
.Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions, from requisition through to offer acceptance. Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, position specifications, and recruitment timelines. Prepare and maintain recruitment metrics, report and workforce data to support management decisions. Prepare and post job advertisements through internal and external recruitment platforms. Source candidates using job boards, professional networks, referrals, and other recruitment channels. Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Conduct reference checks and facilitate pre-employment requirements, including medical assessments, background checks, and other employment screening as required. Prepare employment offers and coordinate onboarding activities. Maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, employment legislation, and diversity and inclusion principles. Assist with audits and other HR reporting requirements. Provide admin support to the HR team as required. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in recruitment, preferably within mining, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry. Experience managing multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR Information Systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience preparing recruitment metrics and management reports. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong recruitment and interviewing skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruitment data and prepare meaningful reports. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with hiring managers and candidates. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Contract position. Office-based with regular interaction with operational leaders and hiring managers. Occasional travel to mine sites may be required. Flexibility to support recruitment campaigns outside of normal business hours when operational requirements dictate
