Deep knowledge of underground mining

For 30 years we have been at the forefront of modern, fully-mechanised underground mining in Australia and we continue to use our depth of knowledge and experience to push underground mining further. We are currently developing in excess of 120 kilometres and mining in excess of 10 million tonnes per year and growing rapidly.

One of the largest fleets of underground mining equipment

We have one of the world’s largest fleets of purpose-built and state of the art underground mining equipment. Assurance of fleet availability and productivity is managed using our own proprietary Barminco Maintenance System.

African Underground Mining Services (AUMS) is now a part of Barminco

AUMS was originally established as a 50/50 joint venture between Barminco and Ausdrill Limited. As a result of Ausdrill acquiring Barminco in October 2018, AUMS has now become a part of Barminco, creating a global powerhouse in underground mining.
