We are seeking a high-calibre Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead and transform end-to-end materials, warehousing, and logistics operations across a complex mining and resources supply chain. This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic change, establish best-practice processes, and deliver measurable improvements in service, efficiency, and cost performance.

Based at our clients Perth Head Office, this Monday-to-Friday role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact across a national operational network while working with a business committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a standardised materials management framework while overseeing warehousing, inventory, logistics, and distribution activities across the business.

Your focus will be on building a high-performing operation that delivers safety, service, reliability, and efficiency while supporting business growth and operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and rollout of a standardised Materials Management framework, ensuring regulatory compliance and consistency across all sites.
  • Manage third-party logistics, freight, and transport providers to achieve contracted service levels, safety standards, and continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations for the Central Distribution Centre, including receiving, storage, dispatch, cross-docking, and after-hours service capability.
  • Strengthen inventory governance through stock accuracy initiatives, forecasting, master data management, optimisation programs, and root cause analysis.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through recruitment, coaching, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with operational sites and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable material availability and service delivery.
  • Optimise warehouse layouts, storage methodologies, preservation practices, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives, including barcoding, RFID technologies, scanning systems, and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
  • Champion continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, performance reporting, balanced scorecards, and cross-functional improvement programs.
  • Lead centralisation and inventory reduction initiatives, including the establishment of a Central Distribution Centre and implementation of JIT, VMI, consignment, and returns strategies.
About You
You are a commercially astute and operationally focused supply chain professional with a proven track record of delivering transformational outcomes in complex industrial environments.

To be successful, you will bring:
  • Degree qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive end-to-end supply chain experience spanning warehousing, transport, inventory management, and third-party logistics environments.
  • Previous experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, manufacturing, or similarly complex operational sectors.
  • Strong contract management and commercial negotiation experience with freight providers and 3PL partners.
  • Demonstrated success improving inventory performance, stock accuracy, working capital outcomes, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Proven leadership capability managing operational teams across multiple sites and/or outsourced logistics networks.
  • Strong systems capability across SAP, WMS, TMS, ERP platforms, and business reporting and analytics tools.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management skills.
