Join the Team Building Australia's Next Major Block Cave Mine
Redpath Australia has been selected as the preferred mining contractor for the Northparkes E22 Block Cave Development Project in Parkes, NSW. We are seeking experienced Underground Jumbo Operators to join our development team and help deliver one of Australia's most significant underground mining developments.
About the Role
As a Jumbo Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground jumbo drill rigs, supporting development activities while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate underground jumbo drill rigs safely and efficiently
- Drill development headings to design specifications
- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
- Read and interpret mine plans and drilling patterns
- Ensure development activities meet production targets and quality standards
- Identify and report equipment defects, hazards and operational issues
- Work closely with Charge Up, Service Crew and Shift Supervisors
- Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and operational standards
Qualifications
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous underground mining experience operating jumbo drill rigs
- Experience in underground mine development
- Strong understanding of drilling patterns and development standards
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets
- Current Australian work rights
- Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
