Key Responsibilities
Procurement:
- Assist with MRP/inventory purchasing and/or expediting;
- Assist with collecting, entering, and reviewing vendor key performance indicator (KPI) data;
- Provide support to draft Goods and Service agreements;
- Scheduling and hosting quarterly and annual vendor performance review meetings;
- Assist with tracking and filing WCB, Insurance and Anti-Bribery documentation;
- Provide general support to the Procurement team.
Warehouse:
- Responsible for shipping and receiving of various materials;
- Storage, stocking, and expediting of inventory orders;
- Stock maintenance, and filling orders for mining departments;
- Assist and actively participate in Safety activities and meetings;
- Assist with inventory optimization projects;
- Vendor reviews for inventory;
- Other basic warehouse related duties as needed.
Other responsibilities overlap between procurement and warehouse team.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in their 2nd year undergraduate program for Bachelor of Business, Supply Chain Management,or similar.
- The candidate will have a basic understanding of supply chain management andpurchasing processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and self-starter skills are required as the candidate will be supporting various departments ("client groups") across the mine site.
- Applicants must possess a valid BC Driver's License and have access to personal transportation.
Other Requirements
Candidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive qualification process, including:
- Successful completion of pre-placement functional screen
- Provide proof of a valid Class 5/7N driver's license
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
- Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements
